Portugal: Spanish police intercept yacht with 800kg of cocaine near Azores

The Spanish National Police intercepted in international waters, near the archipelago of the Azores, a yacht with 800 kg of cocaine, having arrested the three sailors who were on board.

According to the Spanish police on Monday, the “Seascape” was located by a ship of the Spanish Tax and Customs Authority, which is due to arrive today at the port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for a detailed inspection, which is expected to happen at 12:00 local time (the same time in Lisbon).

According to the General Directorate of the Spanish Police, the delegate of the Government in the Canary Islands and those responsible for the operation will give more detailed information about the detention later today.
