Prices continue going up

Macau’s Composite Consumer Price Index, the city’s gauge for inflation, increased by 6.04 percent year-on-year in July. According to the Statistics and Census Service, this was attributable to rising charges for meals bought away from home and dearer prices of vegetables. For the 12 months ended July, the average Composite Consumer Price Index increased by 6.45 percent from the preceding period. The index edged up by 0.37 percent month-to-month.
