Promoting responsible gaming

With research results from the Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming (ISCG) of the University of Macau indicating that problem gambling in Macau is showing a deteriorating trend, three local institutions have decided to launch a “Responsible Gambling” Ambassador Training Program. The goal of the Social Welfare Bureau, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau and ISCG is “to avoid the problem from getting worse.” The course, only available in Cantonese, is open to anyone who is “interested in protecting Macau from the harms of problem gambling.” It will include six class hours and six practical hours. Interested parties must submit their application form before July 23.
