Public protest to support Uber ride-sharing

Macao Community Development Initiative (MCDI) will host a public protest to support ride-sharing mobile application Uber’s continued operation in Macau. The protest is planned to start at Tap Seac Square on Sunday 4th September, according to a post made by the group on social media websites. Uber disclosed in a letter to legislators that September 9 will be the last day its service operates in Macau. ‘If the negotiations with the MSAR Government do not progress, September 9 will be the last day for Uber serving Macau,’ the letter states.
