Starting from 6pm today (Wednesday), a quarantine-free customs entry policy has been resumed between Macau and Zhuhai, with a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test certificate conducted within the last 24 hours required for people entering Zhuhai through the Macau land border, health authorities announced.

Also, those individuals should follow the principle of only travelling between their residencyand workplace for the first 3 days and avoid taking public transportation, gathering, and dining together.

Meanwhile, the Gongbei Port is temporarily closed as it is currently under construction, and will reopen at 6:00 am on August 5, with the Border Gate on the Macau side to be temporarily closed in line with the Gongbei Port and to reopen at the same time, while the vehicle entrance and exit routes at the border checkpoint will remain open during the period without being affected by this measure.

The opening hours of other border ports between Zhuhai and Macau will remain unchanged, including Qingmao Port, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau BridgeMacau Port, Hengqin Portand Zhuhai-Macau Cross-Border Industrial Zone port. As for sea ports, the Inner Harbour Ferry Terminal is still closed.

However, the test conducted at the free governmental nucleic acid testing sites on or after August 4 cannot be used for customs entry and exit.

On June 22, Zhuhai health authorities have issued a notice requiring all people entering Zhuhai from Macau to receive a 7-day quarantine at designated places plus 7-day health monitoring at home, as Macau has seen a new wave of pandemic outbreak, with the quarantine days later reduced to 7-day quarantine at designated places plus 3-day health monitoring at home.
