The daily quotas provided for local cars with a Guangdong-Macau double license plate allowed to cross the border will be doubled to 1,400 and their access area expanded starting from 6:00am of July 24, Zhuhai and Macau authorities decided.
As with was previously announced for people allowed to enter Guangdong Province, the access area for double license vehicles was that was extended beyond the nine cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing, to the whole of Guangdong province.
Zhuhai and Macau will negotiate the daily quota for after August 12, after analyzing the state of play of the new measures.
The Commerce Bureau of the Hengqin New Area also previously announced that the quota for locally registered vehicles authorised to enter the area has been doubled from 2,500 to 5,000.
