Remaining House of Dancing Water workers laid off

About 50 workers that remained employed after the suspension of the House of Dancing Water show in City of Dreams were today (Wednesday) laid-off by Melco Resorts, TDM Radio reported.

Inaugurated in 2010, The House of Dancing Water show was suspended indefinitely by Melco Resorts in November last year with more than 130 non-resident workers dismissed.

At the time, the remaining resident workers remained on duty, working three days a week and receiving 60 per cent of their salary, contracts that were set to expire in December.

The Melco Resorts show was expected to resume operations in January after a revamp by creator Franco Dragone, however, the suspension was maintained as the pandemic progressed.
