Rolls-Royce sales track Macau’s stock of casinos

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd’s sales grow in Macau in tandem with the number of casinos, so should keep increasing, Business Daily reports. The newspaper quotes the company’s Asia-Pacific regional director, Paul Harris, as saying in an interview that most of the buyers of Rolls-Royces in the city are casino-hotels – but not all. “We have entrepreneurial businessmen who live in Macau, or that have multiple addresses and that happen to live in Macau as well, and hotels as well. But at the moment the predominant business is the casino business,” Mr Harris said. He said only some of the businessmen that bought Rolls-Royces were in gaming. “The only thing they have in common is that they’re successful in whichever business line they’re in, and they buy the cars as a celebration of that success.”
