Sands Shopping Carnival to be back in September

The three-day business platform Sands Shopping Carnival will be held on September 10-12 after having been postponed in July due to city’s latest pandemic outbreak.

The event, held at The Venetian Cotai Expo, is aimed at boosting the business of local SMEs and Sands retailers amid the pandemic, while providing a fun weekend destination for residents and tourists during Mid-Autumn Festival, Sands China said in a press release, adding that it “supports the Macau SAR government’s economic revival policies and the e-consumption voucher scheme.”

The carnival will feature more than 580 booths and will also include games for children and competitions.  This is the third edition of this annual event, which began in 2020 and attracted over 210,000 over the past two years, the operator added.

Sands also stressed that it will adopt a number strict sanitisation and safety measures to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. In addition, all exhibitors will need to be either fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the previous two weeks prior to the event or submit a negative nucleic acid test result obtained within seven days before September 10.
