Shen Beili leaves local Ministry of Foreign Affairs position

Shen Beili will leave her position as Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macau SAR to become the Deputy Head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

The International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is an agency responsible for conducting relations with foreign political parties, think tanks, and academics.

Beili was appointed to her position in Macau in July, 2018 having served as Assistant Minister and Director General of the General Office of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee before since 2017.

Prior to those appointments, the Shangai native was also appointed as a Minister in the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the United Kingdom from 2014 to 2016 and then as Director-General, General Office of International Department of the CPC Central Committee from 2016 to 2017.
