Singapore reports 25 new COVID-19 cases

Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 25 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 61,311.

Of the new cases, 21 are imported cases and four are community cases. Among the cases in the community, one is linked to a previous case and three are currently unlinked.

On Friday, 33 more COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities after recovery. In all, 60,906 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, the ministry said.

There are currently 138 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and two are in the intensive care unit.

Furthermore, 236 people who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.

Altogether 31 people have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
