Teamworks Lynk & Co’s protest against Huff refused

The Stewards of the Meeting of the Macau Grand Prix’s Guia Race have rejected a protest submitted by Shell Teamwork Lynk & Co Motorsport alleging that British driver Rob Huff had caused a false start in yesterday’s Guia Race Qualifying Race.

Saturday’s 8-lap race was won by the MG XPOWER driver, with Ma Qing Hua – who races for Shell Teamwork Lynk & Co Motorsport team – finishing second, and taking the 2020 TCR China Championship Drivers’ title.

The decision of the Stewards of the Meeting indicated that after going over video evidence and hearing the competitor’s representative, they had determined that the MG XPOWER driver has not committed any infractions, and therefore the protest was unfounded.

The final Macau Grand Prix Guia Race 12 laps will be held at 11:40am.
