Typhoon Signal No. 3 to be hoisted this evening

The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) said it will issue standby signal number 3 by 8 pm today (October 12), as tropical cyclone Nangka was located is located about 500 km south-southeast of Macau at 5pm.

According to SMG, the storm is moving towards Hainan island. Meanwhile, the blue storm surge warning is still in force. Weather authorities predict that flooding will occur in the city’s low-lying areas tomorrow (October 13) early in the morning between 4am and 9 am.
