Typhoon Signal No. 3 will be issued at 1:00 pm to replace the current Tropical Cyclone Signal 8, as typhoon “Mulan” has made landfall in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province at 10:50 am, the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) announced today (Wednesday).
Tropical Storm “Mulan” has made landfall in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, and is moving away from Macau, the SMG noted.
Winds are expected to ease in the afternoon, and the current Tropical Cyclone Signal 8 is still in force before being replaced by the Typhoon Signal No. 3which will be issued at 1:00 pm.
However, Macau is still affected by the circulation and rainband of “Mulan”, and occasional heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected today. Winds will reach a wind level scale of 5-7, and have gusts.
SMG indicated in the statement that the public should still pay close attention to the latest weather information, take precautions against strong winds and pay attention to travel safety.
