UnionPay International announces fee exemptions for Bank of Communications cardholders

UnionPay International announced today (Wednesday) that it signed an agreement with Bank of Communications (Hong Kong) Limited to make it the first card issuer in Hong Kong to will exempt cardholders from cross-network ATM cash withdrawal fees in Hong Kong and Macau.

Therefore, starting from today cardholders will not be charged with any transaction fees when using the Bank of Communications (Hong Kong) or for UnionPay ATM card cash withdrawals from all the ATMs with UnionPay logo in Hong Kong as well as in HSBC and Guangfa Bank ATMs in Macau.

UnionPay International cards are accepted in 178 countries and regions with issuance in 61 countries and regions and an acceptance network covering more than 56 million merchants and about 2.9 million ATMs.
