University of Macau team gains second place in Global Business Challenge North Asia final

A student team from the University of Macau has gained second place at the North Asia Final of the CGMA 20210 Global Business Challenge held in Chengdu.

Organised by The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants and Chengdu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (CDHT), the competition pit together students from eight university teams from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Japan.

Accoridng to CGMA Regional Vice President for North Asia, Vicky Li, the business competition for undergraduates is designed to ‘bring out the best in the young business leaders for tomorrow’ and prepare them ‘through real-life scenarios for the world of work’.

Students from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, were crowned the champions, followed by Team UMF4 from University of Macau in second and both Team Sigma ∑ from Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics and Team APEX from Chongqing Technology and Business University in third place, respectively.
