Local VIP baccarat results in the third quarter of this year have increased by 51 per cent quarter-to-quarter MOP2.3 billion (US$288.1 million), representing almost 48 per cent of the almost MOP4.9 billion in gaming results reported for the three-month period, data published by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) today (Friday) revealed.
Meanwhile, mass-market baccarat in the third quarter jumped by 77 per cent quarter-to-quarter to MOP1.88 billion and representing about 38 per cent of total gaming results.
Despite the increase in the July-September period from the previous quarter, VIP and mass baccarat results have declined by 92.5 per cent and 94 per cent year-on-year, respectively.
Revenue generated by mass-market gaming, including mass baccarat and slot machines, represented a total 52 per cent share of city’s gaming results for the third quarter, or MOP2.5 billion.
