The Financial Services Bureau (DSF) indicated today that the concession contract awarded for the exploration of Chinese lotteries to Sociedade de Lotarias Wing Hing, Limitada was again extended by one year until December 31, 2020.
According to a release in the Official Gazette, the company will have to pay a MOP500,000 (US$61,965) payment for the concession extension.
The company received the gaming concession for the commercial exploration of lottery games in 1990.
In 2004 the company was authorised to explore lottery betting through phone and online means, with the concession contract renewed annually from 2010 until now.
According to information provided by the Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau (DICJ) in the first nine months of last year, a total of MOP39 million was wagered in Chinese lotteries in Macau, with Wing Hing generating some MOP10 million in revenue in that period.
