Gaming operator Wynn, which operates two casinos in Macau, on Monday said that it will donate hand sanitiser worth 2 million patacas as part of the fight against Covid-19.
“Wynn has ordered over 2 million patacas of hand sanitizer from local suppliers. With the support of the Macau Chamber of Commerce, these materials are expected to reach (…) local [small and medium-sized] SMEs” between 23 March and 17 April. This initiative is expected to benefit over 13,000 SMEs, the operator said.
“In response to the MSAR [Macau Special Administrative Region] government’s call to stimulate domestic consumption and boost the local economy, Wynn also plans to allocate resources to help local SMEs through promotions and ‘online marketing’,” according to the statement.
It promised to cooperate with the Macau Chamber of Commerce to stimulate short-term consumption in the territory to ensure employment stabilisation and market confidence, it said.
