An association to coordinate the fostering of Zhuhai and Macau professional talents has been created on May 12, with former Chief Executive Edmund Ho as its honorary president, China Daily indicated.
The Macao-Zhuhai Talent Development & Promotion Association aims to coordinate the fostering of Zhuhai and Macau talents, hold high-level talent activities at home and abroad, publicize progressive and talent policies, and promote the moderately diversified economic development of Macao and modernization of Zhuhai.
Song Yonghua, rector of the University of Macau (UM) and member of the Academy of Europe, and Chen Dake of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and director of the Southern Marine Science & Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai) have been appointed as honorary leaders.
The chairwomen of Gree Electric Appliances, one of the largest Zhuhai business groups, and the deputy chief engineer of China Aviation Industry General Aircraft, Huang Lingcai, are also among its members.
On the same day that the association was created, eight Macao-Zhuhai talent cooperation projects were signed, including for training of Zhuhai-Macau management talents; nursing and medical cooperation; Akrostar’s integrated circuit cultivation; and joint talent training between UM and State Power Investment.
