Airport to expand capacity to handle passengers

The operator of Macau International Airport intends to increase the facility’s capacity to 7.5 million passengers per year by extending the passenger terminal on its northern side, Aviation Business reports. The magazine quotes an airport spokesperson as saying the passenger terminal can now handle 6 million passengers per year. The airport operator is inviting bids for the extension work with a view to the job being done next year. The operator is also building a new business aviation hangar and has plans to improve the airport apron, the magazine says.
