Las Vegas Sands wants to expand to Spain

Las Vegas Sands, the parent company of Sands China, is planning to create a set of gaming resorts in Spain, in an investment that could cost up to US$20 billion (MOP160 billion). According to the company’s chairman, Sheldon Adelson, Madrid and Barcelona are potential locations. Mr Adelson said the Spanish projects would be similar to those the company operates in Macau. Mr Adelson also said that Las Vegas Sands has requested the Singaporean government for more land to accommodate to the increasing demand from MICE business at Marina Bay Sands.
