Hong Kong-listed Melco International Development Ltd sponsored and organised nearly 40 youth development programmes in 2012, the company announced. This doubled its project beneficiaries to around 50,000 people compared with 2011. The information is included in Melco International’s annual corporate social responsibility report, released yesterday. The company has been releasing the annual report since 2007. Melco International is one of the two controlling shareholders of Macau casino developer and operator Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd, with a 33.7-percent stake. The other is Australia-based Crown Ltd.
