Nevada regulators also probing Las Vegas Sands

The troubles for U.S.-based Las Vegas Sands Corp, Sands China Ltd’s parent company, seem far from ending. Reuters is reporting that the Nevada Gaming Control Board is investigating whether Las Vegas Sands has breached any U.S. bribery laws through its dealings in the mainland. This new probe was confirmed to Reuters by two sources familiar with the matter. This adds to on-going investigations by the U.S. Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission on the same topic. Reuters says the Gaming Control Board has yet to reach the stage where it would consider making a formal complaint against Sands. The Gaming Control Board declined to confirm or discuss any state inquiries, according to the news agency.
