The Monetary Authority of Macau and the Financial Services Office of Shanghai met earlier this month for the first Shanghai-Macau Financial Cooperation Meeting. The plan to have regular meetings is part of the memorandum for financial cooperation signed earlier between the two parties. The areas of financial cooperation discussed during this meeting covered financial business, clearing and settlement, as well as information sharing, a press release by the Monetary Authority states.
