Gaming companies set to announce results

Several casino companies will this week announce their results and the expectations are that they will post improved second-quarter results year-on-year. Macau, according to several experts, will be the main driver for the growth, as business in Las Vegas remains weak. Las Vegas Sands Corp. will report its results tomorrow. Earnings are estimated to be 9 cents out of US$1 a share on revenue of US$1.6 billion, according to analysts polled by Thomson Reuters. Melco Crown will also announce its results tomorrow. The next day, it will be Wynn Resorts who will hit the spotlight: analysts predict earnings of 42 cents a share on revenue of $991 million.
