Macau | New Air Macau route links Changzhou

Macau (MNA) – An official ceremony held in Macau International Airport has officially launched a new air route operated by Air Macau linking the Macau SAR (MSAR) with Changzhou, a Chinese city located in the province of Jiangsu.

The route comprises three flights per week in both directions operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“This will further cut the distances between us,” Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), told MNA on the sidelines of the ceremony, highlighting the relationship between Macau and Changzhou.

“Always, a new flight gives us opportunities to tap into different markets, and Changzhou is situated in a very prosperous province as well with a lot of spending power and a lot of people willing to go overseas and go to different places,” said Ms. de Senna Fernandes.

As well as Ms. de Senna Fernandes, officials attending the opening ceremony included Ms. Zhu Hong, Deputy Director of the Economic Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the MSAR, and Mr. Chan Weng Hong, President of the Civil Aviation Authority of the MSAR, among others.
