Courts to re-open and public departments to maintain basic services next week

The Office of the Secretary for Administration and Justice announced today that govenrment public departments will maintain basic services reinstated this week until February 28.

Public services will continue to adopt measures to prevent the epidemic, including the body temperature checks, the use of a mask and the delivery of health declarations by citizens who wish to access services.

At the same time, the Judiciary Magistrates Council announced that all courts of the different instances will resume normal operation next week.

In order avoid large gatherings and the risk of spreading infectious diseases, the presidents of the Collective Court or the judges of the Courts of First Instance may decide, on their own, to cancel certain hearings previously scheduled for February 24 28.

If a judge decides to cancel the hearing court officials should immediately notify the interested parties, while citizens were also advised to call the different court offices to learn about the new arrangements.
