Covid-19: City has sold around 72 million masks since the start of the pandemic

About 72 million masks have been sold in Macau since the end of January, local authorities said today (Saturday) at the daily press conference to monitor the covid-19 pandemic.

The rationed sale of the masks started almost four months ago, on January 24, one of the first measures of the Macau Government, justified by the lack of supply in the world market.

Every ten days, each person can purchase ten masks at around half a hundred pharmacies in the territory, at a reduced price: eight patacas (around US$1).

In the same press conference, the authorities stressed the fact that today is the 45th consecutive day without registering new cases, and all 45 patients who tested positive for covid-19 have already been discharged.
