The brand “Works with Apple HomeKit” is a label the company grants to those firms whose products comply with its HomeKit framework.
This framework makes it possible to create home products that can be controlled through the app Home. Windows, lights, outlets and air conditioners are among the products available under the brand.
In September, the company filed for commercial and industrial protection of three categories of services and products under the ‘iCloud’ brand, as well as one trademark protection for ‘MacBook Air,’ Macau’s Business Daily newspaper reported.
