Macau | EU, Macau and China co-operation to become more intertwined – Ambrose So

Macau (MNA) – The number of economic opportunities in Macau will increase along with the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB), and the EU-Macau-China co-operation will be more closely intertwined, stated the Honorary Chairman of the Macau European Chamber of Commerce (MECC), Ambrose Soduring the Chamber’s gala dinner on Friday.

The MECC marked its fifth anniversary yesterday at Grand Lisboa, celebrating the contributions of local businesses to help shape long-term benefits for Macau.

The Honorary Chairman of MECC said at the event that “the highly anticipated opening of the HZMB will increase economic opportunities in both Macau and the Greater Bay Area, and create a world-class city cluster for EU-Macau-China cooperation.”

So added that MECC has been actively supporting economic and cultural exchange through a multitude of activities, such as arranging trips to the Hong HZMB to further understand and optimize the opportunities that will arise from increased multicultural connectivity.

MECC also presented the MECC Awards for ‘Euroexcellence’ in Food and Beverage, Luxury and Innovation to Macau companies that uphold European quality standards.

The Educational Restaurant of the Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) won the MECC Award for Euroexcellence in Food & Beverage for its active promotion of multi-cultural culinary exchange between Europe and Macau.
