Macau | Highest temperature of the year expected this Wednesday

Macau (MNA) – The Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) announced on Tuesday that it has issued a high temperature yellow warning for this Wednesday, as temperatures are expected to reach a high of 34 Celsius degrees, the highest level this year so far.

Temperatures tomorrow are expected to range between 26 to 34 degrees Celsius, with the humidity level ranging from 45 per cent to 90 per cent, with the Maximum UV index expected to reach 10 or a Very High degree.

The UV index measures the amount of harmful ultraviolet radiation in the sunlight reaching the Earth’s surface at a given location, given the time of year and current atmospheric conditions.

The department warned residents who have to perform any outdoor jobs or activities to avoid prolonged exposure to the sunlight during the highest temperature peak hours and drink plenty of water.

The SMG also told Macau News Agency (MNA) that temperatures as high as 33 degrees are expected to be registered in the next two to three days.
