Macau | Parents file complaint against MP for dropping Costa Nunes child abuse case – Media

Macau (MNA) – Six families filled a complaint with the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) for archiving a child abuse case at the Costa Nunes kindergarten, local TV broadcaster TDM has reported.

In May of last year several parents of the children involved filed complaints with police authorities against an employee of the kindergarten for improper behaviour, with the employee being fired afterwards.

One of the parents involved explained to the newspaper that their complaints related to three girls not having been heard by authorities, with parents not agreeing with the interrogation methods used.

Only one family of the seven families involved in the original charges last year has not filed a complaint to the MP on Monday.

According to the parents, the Judiciary Police (PJ) has claimed all parents were present during the questioning of the children, a claim that the parents deny adding that only four of the seven children involved were heard.

Parents also alleged that there were omission on the MP report, which they argue did not include some details conveyed by the children concerning the kindergarten’s employee behaviour.
