The Macau Prosecutors Office is still looking into the unusual situation in which a bus ran all day without any record of collecting a fare and the operator was paid for the service. The case should be concluded this year, Prosecutor General Ho Chio Meng told media on Saturday. Noting that the investigation was a difficult one, Mr. Ho said that his team of prosecutors have found abnormalities with the bus run frequencies, revenues and costs, but did not have evidence to instigate any immediate prosecution against the bus company. Mr. Hos office started an investigation into the case following complaints after the Audit Commission released a special report in May last year highlighting the said unusual situation, as well as slamming the lax government supervision of bus operations and irregular arrangement of bus schedules.
