Security incidents at airport “unacceptable” – Secretary for Security

Macau (MNA) – Secretary for Security, Wong Sio Chak, considered on Tuesday that the security incidents that took place at the Macau International Airport (MIA) were “completely unacceptable”.

Last week two passengers were found trespassing in restricted areas of MIA.

Speaking to journalists after attending a committee in Legislator Assembly (AL), the Secretary said that the SEMAC Security Company had a “security loophole” concerning their security management of the airport.

The Secretary further said that he would have a meeting with the SEMAC Security Company and with the Civil Aviation Authority this afternoon to discuss the issue.

Police will also require explanations from SEMAC and will “punish the company according to the law”.
