Typhoon Signal No.8 has been hoisted since 6:00am, with tropical storm Lionrock currently about 490 kilometers southwest of Macau and moving toward Beibu Gulf.
Winds with sustained speed of 63 to 117 km/h are expected or blowing and the gust may exceed 180 km/h in Macau.
Blue storm surge warning is still in force, and flooding could occur in low-lying areas with the highest flooding level below 0.5m.
