Macau | First meeting of Tourism Federation of Cities in Greater Bay Area held

Macau (MNA) – The Tourism Federation of Cities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area held its first general membership meeting on Friday after its establishment in December last year, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) announced.
MGTO stated that the meeting seeks to discuss and propose tactics to develop tourism in the Bay Area.
For the year 2018, MGTO claimed it will engage in several initiatives including organising tourism presentation seminars about the Bay Area, while carrying out strategic promotions, and producing a travelogue about the three regions.
MGTO will also set up joint booths at major travel fairs, arranging familiarisation visits and promoting multi-destination tourism products offered by the Bay Area this year.
During the meeting, consensus was reached among members on tactics that members should work on, such as deepening tourism co-operation and tapping into the potential brought by related policies.
According to MGTO, the Federation consists of tourism bodies of nine cities of the Guangdong Province.
