Macau | TEDxSenado Square to take place on March 3

Macau (MNA) – TEDxSenado Square, the first TEDX event in Macau open to the public, will take place on March 3 at Dom V Pedro Theatre.

The event, which will run from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and is an independently-organised from TED conferences, but using a similar format.

According to organiser Venus Loi, seven to ten speakers from various areas including music, personal development and education will be speaking.

“As this event covers a wide range of concepts not exclusive to entrepreneurship, we have team members from different backgrounds who contributes with their best talents. We will definitely like to create a network of participants from various fields who share with use new and bright ideas,” said Ms. Loi.

Loi said the line-up is curated is to “really communicate effectively with the speakers and get to know the true meaning behind each of their talks.”

When asked about the choice of venue, Ms. Loi said “the exquisite interior” was the reason behind the choice.

Loi explained “As the first western style theatre in China, it not only showcases the unique Chinese-Portuguese building style, but also a fantastic example of urban regeneration. The stage and seatings are exactly what we were looking for with good settings available for the speaker and performers.”

At the current moment, ‘blind tickets’ are being sold at the starter price of MOP199 (US$24.63), on the event’s Facebook page, with the price set to increase with time.
