HK customs seizes largest cannabis bud shipment valued at HK$115 million

Hong Kong customs officers have conducted their most extensive in-town confiscation of cannabis buds, seizing a shipment valued at HK$115 million (US$14.8 million) during a raid on a warehouse in the New Territories, the South China Morning Post reported. 

According to customs officials, 570kg of cannabis buds were discovered hidden in 145 boxes, intermixed with another 387 boxes of electronic products in a warehouse two weeks ago.

Following investigations, officers arrested the director of a logistics company in connection with the case.

Authorities said this operation brings the total amount of cannabis seized in the first two months of this year to approximately 790kg.
