Macau | Air Asia to launch new direct route to Kota Kinabalu

Macau (MNA) – Air Asia Berhad, a low-cost Malaysian airline, has announced that it is launching a direct flight to Kota Kinabalu on November 2.

Stella Ng, a representative of Air Asia told Macau News Agency (MNA) that flights will operate four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

For flights operating out of Macau, the flight takes off at 1:15 pm and will arrive at 4:40 pm.

Flights from Kota Kinabalu to Macau will fly at 10:05 am and arrive at 1:10 pm.

“We have a lot of routes planned, and we are focusing on Southeast Asia. [Malaysia] is a very popular destination for Macau residents and so we decided to launch this route,” Ms Ng said.

Flights can be booked in advance from today until August 19 for the travel period of November 2, 2018 to March 29, 2019 on the airline’s website or mobile application.

Fares for the route start at MOP297 (US$36.73), while members of Air Asia will pay fares starting from MOP288.
