Macau | Casino operators slowly investing in e-vehicles

Macau (MNA) – MGM China has confirmed to Macau News Agency (MNA) that it is planning to add four electric buses to its fleet in the coming Summer season.

The company stated that the plan to invest in the use of non-pollutant shuttle buses seeks to ‘reduce emissions and protect our environment.’

According to the company’s spokesperson, MGM China is the first operator to acquire electric buses from BYD (Build Your Dream), a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, founded in 1995.

Last week, MNA reported that another local casino operator, Melco Resorts & Entertainment, had also applied to operate electric vehicles in the city, amounting to a total of eight shuttles.
