Macau (MNA) – The adoption of greyhounds is now open for everybody who has the intention to adopt dogs from Canidrome, the owner of the Macau (Yat Yuen) Canidrome Co. Ltd., Angela Leong On Kei, told the media after attending the Third Standing Committee on Friday.
“As far as I know, we[Canidrome] have already submitted an adoption plan to the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) just now, and people can check on our website tonight for additional information,” said Leong.
When asked by the media about the detail of the revised proposal, Leong replied “I am here to call on everybody, especially dog lovers and animal lovers, as long as they have the intention to adopt greyhound dogs, feel free to do so.”
However, Leong did not further disclose any details of the revised adoption proposal.
On Monday, IACM has rejected the company’s request to extend its deadline to vacate the racetrack premises in Fai Chi Kei district by another year and ordered Canidrome to submit a revised proposal on the placement of its about 600 greyhounds by June 8.
