Macau (MNA) – The Macau football team has won 1-0 in a match against Sri Lanka in the Zhuhai Sports Center Stadium in the first round of 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Felipe Duarte was the player that scored the goal that brings the team slightly closer to qualifying in the World Cup.
Macau is ranked 183rd in the world in the FIFA World Rankings, while Sri Lanka is the lowest ranked nation in Asia, sitting at 202.
The result was the Macau football team’s first win made in a qualification round.
