Pharmaceutical technicians from Macao will be allowed to provide pharmaceutical services in pharmacies in Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, according to a new regulation.
The new regulation will take effect on August 1 this year. After that, pharmaceutical technicians from Macau meeting the requirements do not need to take related examinations in the Chinese mainland. They can register with the drug supervision and administration authority of the Cooperation Zone.
According to the regulation, Macao’s pharmaceuticaltechnicians who have registered with the drugsupervision and administration authority of theCooperation Zone can serve at licensed pharmaciesin Hengqin. They can also apply for licenses to setup their own pharmacy in this region.
