Success Universe Group, investor of the Ponte 16 casino hotel, announced revenue of HKD101.9 million (MOP105 million/US$13 million) for 2023, representing a decrease of 11 per cent compared to HKD114.8 million generated in 2022.
According to a Hong Kong stock filing, the group’s gross profit rose by 35 per cent year-on-year to HKD16.8 million in 2023.
The shared profit of the associates relating to its flagship investment project Ponte 16 was HKD143.7 million, reversing the loss of HKD42.1 million a year earlier.
Profit attributable to the owners of the company for 2023 stood at HKD169.3 million, compared to the loss of HKD287.1 million reported in 2022.
The board of directors do not recommend any payment of a final dividend for the year ending 31 December 2023, the filing said.
In 2023, Ponte 16 recorded an adjusted EBITDA of HKD334.1 million, reversing the previous year’s loss of HKD46.2 million.
The average occupancy rate of Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 reached approximately 83 per cent in 2023, a significant increase compared to 48 per cent in 2022.
Looking ahead to 2024, Success Universe said that the group maintained an optimistic and strategic approach to navigate the robust yet dynamic recovery, with a strong commitment to enriching its diverse business portfolio.
