South Africa’s northern Kalahari region is renowned for its dry and arid climate – an environment the wildlife and livestock are accustomed to. However, an extreme drought has killed off not only many animals, but also tourism to several farms. Some have been forced to let workers go and shut down operations as they wait desperately for rain.
