UK-based surface treatment provider Resysten eyes Macau market

Resysten, a UK-based company that provides surface treatment, is investing in Macau with the aim of bringing its photocatalytic coating nano-technology to the Special Administrative Region (SAR) market.

Resysten first established its Macau office two years ago, but the team could not enter the city due to COVID-19-related restrictions. “As soon as we heard that Macau was reopening on January 8, we immediately came and opened our office here to help the city’s reopening process,” Peter Bunevacz, Director of Resysten Greater Bay Area Ltd., told Macau News Agency.

He believes that the firm “can help the reopening process because there are a lot of unsure tourists in China and worldwide who want to come and are afraid of travelling,” by “bringing down the level of fear” and ensuring a “virus and bacteria-free environment.”

Mr Bunevacz added that Resysten Protecting Coatings has business operations in 23 countries and is in the process of setting up shop in another seven markets.

The company describes its system, which uses light with a catalyst to achieve effective hygienic effects, as offering “a long-term, sustainable hygiene coating solution” that “can keep all surfaces clean from infectious microorganisms for 12 months with just one application”, according to Peter Bunevacz.
