A new ferry service linking the Pac On Ferry Terminal (in Taipa) and Zuhuai’s Jiuzhou Port is set to start operating on March 1, according to the Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) as cited by TDM Radio Macau.
In the initial stage there will be 10 round trips per day while DSAMA expects an increase in the frequency depending on passenger demand and needs.
This ferry service will be provided by Yuet Tung Passenger Transport Agency, Limited.
The Jiuzhou Port or Port of Zhuhai is the main ferry port of the Chinese city with over 131 berths and China’s largest waterway passenger port, receiving more than 5 million passengers annually.
The Jiuzhou Port Passenger Terminal is currently being revamped with an improved Passenger Transport Center is to be finished before 2023.
A previously suspended ferry route between the Inner Harbor and the Wanzai Port in Zhuhai also re-openedon January 2020.
